Major General Granger is currently the President and CEO of THE 5Ps, LLC, a health care, education, and leadership consulting organization. Prior to his retirement from the U.S. Army, MG Granger served as the Deputy Director and Program Executive Officer of the TRICARE Management Activity, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs), Washington, DC. In this role, he was the principal advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs) on DOD health plan policy and performance and oversaw the acquisition, operation, and integration of TRICARE/DOD's managed care program within the Military Health System. Additionally, MG Granger led a staff of 1,800 in planning, budgeting, and executing a $22.5 Billion Defense Health Program and ensured the effective and efficient provision of high-quality, accessible healthcare for 9.2 million Uniformed Service members, their families, retirees, and their families, and others located worldwide.

Before joining TRICARE Management Activity, MG Granger led the largest U.S. and multi-national battlefield health system in our recent history while serving as Commander Task Force 44th Medical Command and Command Surgeon for the Multinational Corps Iraq. He has led at every level of the Army Medical Department, with previous assignments as Commander 44th Medical Command, XVIII Airborne Corps Command Surgeon and Director of Health Services, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Commander, Europe Regional Medical Command, Director of TRICARE Europe, and the Command Surgeon, U.S. Army Europe, and 7th Army, Heidelberg, Germany, Acting Assistant Surgeon General for Force Projection, Commander, Landstuhl Army Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany and Commander, Ireland Army Community Hospital, Fort Knox, KY, and attended Army War College, Carlisle Barrack, PA.

MG Granger has received numerous awards, decorations, and honors, including the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit with three oak leaf clusters, the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, and was honored by the National Association of Corporate Directors as a 2022 Top 100 Director.

MG Granger is board- certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Board of Hematology and Oncology, Certified Physician Executive by the Certifying Commission in Medical Management, certified by the American College of Healthcare Executives, and Certified in Medical Quality by the American Board of Medical Quality. NACD- Certified Director, Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight from Carnegie Mellon University, certified in Healthcare Compliance by HCCA, and certified Compliance Officer by AAPC.

MG Granger earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Arkansas School of Medicine. MG Granger completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Hematology-Oncology in at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, Aurora, Colorado. In 2009, MG Granger received an honorary Doctor of Science Degree from Meharry Medical College.

Grange served 30 years in the U.S. Army. His final assignments before retiring were Commanding General Task Force Eagle conducting peace support operations in the Balkans, and Commanding General of the First Infantry Division headquartered in Germany. Grange commanded the 75th Ranger Regiment, Task Force Green (Special Operating Forces) during Desert Storm, the I-503rd Infantry Battalion in Korea, Deputy Commander of the US Army Special Operations Command, Deputy Commander and Operations Officer of a Counter Terrorist unit and Squadron Commander of the same, SF Detachment Commander for both HALO and Scuba Teams, Infantry Company Commander in the 101st, Ranger Company Commander in the 75th Ranger Regiment, Aviation Platoon Commander in the 101st, Platoon Leader in Vietnam in both the 101st and L Co Rangers and Platoon Leader in the 82d Airborne. During his tour in the Pentagon Grange was responsible for Army Readiness, Mobilization and Current Operations and served as the Director of Military Support to government agencies for natural and manmade disasters throughout the USA.

Currently, Grange is the President of Osprey Global Solutions, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veterans Organization, which provides risk assessments, security operations, geopolitical consulting, remote area medical and logistical services, training support, and includes the Osprey Research, Developmental, and Training Facility.

Grange holds a bachelor’s degree from North Georgia College and a master’s in public service from Western Kentucky University. In addition, he is the recipient of an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from both Johnson & Wales University and from Aurora University. Grange attended the Kellogg Business School and has been a Kellogg CEO Perspectives Fellow since 2003. He was ‘knighted’ into theMilitary and Hospitalier Order of St. Lazarus in 2017. Grange is in the Ranger Hall of fame, the Georgia Military Veterans Hall of Fame and is a University System of Georgia Distinguished Alumnus.
